RICHARD A. HUTTON
Richard A. Hutton graduated from the University
of California at Los Angeles in 1967 with a Bachelor`s Degree,
and with his law degree from the same university in 1970.
Mr. Hutton is a past President of the Los Angeles
County Criminal Courts Bar Association, and a past President of
the Glendale Bar Association, and a member of the Board of Governors
of the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice and is Past President of the California DUI Lawyers Association
and is a founding member of the National College of DUI Defense.
Mr. Hutton is presently a partner in the Pasadena law firm of Hutton & Wilson. During
his career, dedicated almost exclusively to criminal law, he has tried over four hundred jury trials. He
has been designated as a Certified Criminal Law Specialist by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization.
Additionally, he has represented various organizations appearing before the California Assembly Legislative
Committee in Sacramento, testifying regarding proposed legislation.
In 1991, Mr. Hutton received the Jerry Giesler
Memorial Award from the Criminal Courts Bar Association. This
award recognizes outstanding courtroom abilities.
Mr. Hutton has lectured extensively in the field
of criminal law, with emphasis in driving under the influence
cases. He has previously taught classes for the U.S.C. Advanced
Professionalism Program on the subject of driving under the influence.
He has lectured to various bar association groups, including California
Attorneys for Criminal Justice, San Diego Trial Lawyers Association,
Criminal Courts Bar Association, and Orange County Trial Lawyers.
He has authored numerous articles on driving under the influence
that have been published in numerous periodicals including Scientific
and Expert Evidence, Second Edition.
ROBERT J. WILSON
Robert J. Wilson graduated from Western State University
in Orange County in 1987. Mr. Wilson was awarded the American
Jurisprudence Award.
Mr. Wilson has been designated as a Certified Criminal Law Specialist by the State Bar of
California Board of Legal Specialization, he is past is First Vice-President of the Criminal Courts Bar Association,
past Chairman of the Criminal Law Section of the Pasadena Bar Association, member of the Association of California
Deuce Defenders, Treasurer for the California DUI Lawyers Association, member of the Board of Governors of
the California Attorney's for Criminal Justice, serving on the Legislative Committee, and former Prosecutor
for the City of Pasadena.
Mr. Wilson is a partner in the law firm of Hutton & Wilson with offices in Pasadena and
Century City. Mr. Wilson has been designated as a Certified Criminal Law Specialist by the California State
Bar Board of Legal Specialization. During his career, devoted to criminal defense, Mr. Wilson has tried over
200 DUI cases, and represented hundreds of individuals before the Department of Motor Vehicles. Mr. Wilson
has testified in Sacramento before the State Legislature regarding proposed legislation and currently writes
letters of opposition regarding proposed legislation regarding proposed DUI legislation on behalf of the
California Attorneys for Criminal Justice. He has also represented individuals before various administrative
law bodies throughout California.
Mr. Wilson is a frequent lecturer in the field
of driving under the influence and alternative sentencing. He
has lectured to various bar associations, including California
Attorneys for Criminal Justice, Criminal Courts Bar Association,
Pasadena Bar Association and the State Bar of California. Mr.
Wilson was a pioneer in exploring alternative sentencing options
in the courts of Los Angeles County.
